Agilus is recruiting for a Production Manager in the Chemical Manufacturing Industry in Markham, Ontario. The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe manufacturing of products by overseeing the daily operations on the production floor. You will collaborate with the Manager of Operations and other departments to ensure production goals are achieved, costs are managed, and timelines are followed Responsibilities: Oversee and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products Lead production teams to optimize workflow and maintain high-quality standards Ensure adherence to quality standards throughout the production process Continuously evaluate and improve production processes for maximum efficiency Collaborate with the Plant Manager on safety management and continuous improvement initiatives, while also working with the Director of Operations on special projects. Provide team leadership and supervision, focusing on employee development, managing temporary workers, and ensuring effective production planning and scheduling with the Operations Manager. Optimize processes and efficiencies, particularly with aerosol and filling machines, to enhance overall production performance. Manage and report on costs related to warehouse operations, labor, and waste reduction to maintain budgetary control. The successful candidate brings: Minimum 3 years of Production Manager or Supervisor experience working with adhesive or chemicals Experience working with aerosol machines is an asset Ability to make informed decisions, strong leadership, and effectively delegate tasks to guide the team in the right direction Strong communication skills Effective problem solving skills Total rewards: $70000.00 - $80000.00 annually Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4pm Opportunity for bonus Eligibility for RRSP contributions after one year of employment Three weeks of paid vacation Sick days and a robust benefits package We want to connect with you!
