Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and integrity of Alberta's roadways? Do you have a deep understanding of the design, maintenance, and repair of modern motor vehicles? Do you have a comprehensive understanding of Alberta’s Out of Province and Salvage Vehicle inspection programs? If so, we want you to be part of our team as Alberta’s Motor Vehicle Inspection Specialist. In this dynamic and impactful role, you’ll provide critical technical guidance to technicians and facilities performing inspections and be responsible for maintaining and improving Alberta’s vehicle inspection standards and regulations. Your work will help ensure vehicles passing an Alberta inspection are in safe operating condition and will directly contribute to Alberta's commitment to vehicle safety, compliance, and innovation.
As the Motor Vehicle Inspection Specialist, you will be Alberta’s technical subject matter expert for the Out of Province and Salvage Vehicle inspection programs. This is a unique opportunity to take an active role as a member of the Vehicle Standards Team, liaising with stakeholders, conducting facility verifications, advising on new vehicle technologies, and playing a pivotal role in keeping Alberta's roadways safe and efficient.
