Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist for a confidential opportunity in the Mississauga/Etobicoke area. This is an exciting chance for an HR professional to take on a key role in supporting the organization’s various departments, driving HR initiatives, and working closely with leadership to foster a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations & Organizational Strategy:
- Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, addressing issues and providing support to leadership and staff.
- Manage the performance management process, providing guidance and ensuring staff and leaders are supported bi-annually.
- Lead investigations as necessary, ensuring that processes are thorough, documented, and executed on time.
- Regularly meet with leadership to understand team dynamics, identify professional development opportunities, and promote organizational excellence.
- HR Systems & Reporting:
- Lead efforts to improve and maintain HR systems, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization.
- Generate and provide HR reports regularly to leadership, as well as ad-hoc reports and dashboards as needed.
- Learning & Development:
- Keep up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations to ensure HR policies, practices, and programs remain compliant.
- Train and provide guidance to managers on legal requirements and best practices.
- Identify the learning needs of the business and partner with relevant teams to design and implement effective training programs.
- Recruitment:
- Manage recruitment efforts using platforms like LinkedIn and other relevant channels to attract top talent and maintain cost-effectiveness.
- Lead talent management efforts, focusing on the development, retention, and performance of key employees.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Experience ADP Workforce Now is MUST
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- HR certification or in-progress accreditation is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Solid understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems.
