GIS Web Mapping Developer 

Duration: May 2025 – October 2025 (with potential extension)
Location: Remote
Security Clearance: Reliability

Altis Technology is seeking a GIS Web Mapping Developer for a contract opportunity with one of our Federal Government Clients.

Your Role:

• Creating dynamic maps with ESRI JavaScript API & TypeScript

• Building responsive UIs using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap

• Integrating ArcGIS Online/Portal using ESRI REST services

• Managing source code with Git & VSCode

• Collaborating in Azure DevOps

Requirements:

• 5+ years in IT and web-GIS development

• 6+ years of internet-delivered GIS solutions experience

• Strong hands-on with ESRI tools in public sector or large-scale projects

• Source code management & UI design experience

• Ability to meet accessibility and usability standards

Assets:

• 10+ years of IT/GIS experience

• Experience across multiple organizations

• Government-sector project experience using ESRI technologies
