Job Summary
Reporting to the Supervisor, GIS this position is responsible for maintaining the enterprise GIS solution and its service infrastructure.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Administering an ArcGIS Enterprise solution, including ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, and ArcGIS Data Store, across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Design, build, install, configure, and manage Enterprise Geodatabase(s) in Microsoft SQL Server.
- Analyze, architect, design, implement and administer the enterprise GIS solutions, as well as the GIS desktop, web and mobile GIS applications.
- Manage and monitor GIS services, ensuring high availability and performance. Implement security measures to protect geospatial data and applications.
- Leads GIS integrations with enterprise applications (SAP, Microsoft 365) to facilitate enhanced data analysis.
- Manage GIS projects from conception to completion.
- Prepare project documentation including business processes, workflows, functional analysis and design and technical specifications, as well as technical documentation for system support.
- Oversees preparation of user documentation, training material and delivery of end-user training.
- Collaborate with both internal and external technical teams to facilitate the implementation of GIS changes.
- Provide leadership and guidance to GIS Specialists and Data Analytics Specialists in geospatial data analysis and visualization. Perform software updates, patches, and system upgrades.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Essential Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, Geography, Information Technology or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive working experience in a GIS related field with a thorough knowledge of Esri products.
- 2+ years of ArcGIS Enterprise administration configuration with ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Server and ArcSDE.
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Geodatabase administration, GIS APIs and SDKs, and installing and supporting Esri software.
- Experience in programming languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript. Excellent communication, problem solving, leadership and interpersonal skills to excel in a team environment.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of clients to develop reporting and analytics KPIs.
Preferred
- Exposure and awareness of Microsoft Azure.
- Experience using MuleSoft, FME or other market leading ETL tools.
- Esri professional certification or GISP (Certified GIS Professional) certification.
