Role Mandate: As an Associate on the Distribution Strategy team, you will support the development and execution of strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing the distribution of BMO mutual funds, ETFs, and other investment products. Reporting to the Head of Distribution Strategy, you will work closely with senior management, business line leaders and a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver advice that solves business problems through research, analysis, and compelling strategic recommendations. The selected candidate will be analytical, organized, and possess advanced Excel/Powerpoint skills.

Role Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• Assist in the analysis of distribution channels, sales trends, and market opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.

• Support in the creation of reports, dashboards, models, and presentations to analyze and track distribution performance metrics, among other things.

• Assist with the preparation of materials for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management presentations.

• Help manage and maintain distribution data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Tracking on compliance approvals and organizing/updating the project tracker as required.

• Conduct research on competitors, market conditions, and client needs to support continued business strategy development and identify opportunities for new products and growth.

• Successful candidates will play a key role in leading strategic projects, managing relationships with senior management and stakeholders at all levels throughout the Bank and driving the Bank’s strategic planning process forward.

• Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.

Must-Have Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (Engineering, Economics).

• 2 years of experience in asset management, financial services, or a related field.

• Capital Markets experience an asset (open to previous co-op experience within the field).

• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw conclusions.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and external stakeholders.

• Thinks creatively and proposes new ideas on how to help the overall distribution team.

• Advanced in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Data driven decision making.

• Detail-oriented and organized individual.

• Flexible in working hours to support as required.

• Ability to work independently and takes initiative to address challenges and provide solutions.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and multi-task in a dynamic environment.

• CSC or CFA certification nice to have.

Salary:

$62,300.00 - $115,500.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
