Our valued Federal Government client is currently seeking a Cloud Application Architect for a 3 month REMOTE contract to support the creation of a comprehensive departmental application modernization strategy and plan. This plan will provide potential direction and roadmap paths depending on various factors including budget, available resources, and time constraints. 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conducting the following activities for web-based n-tier applications: Recommend generic components specifically designed to be reusable;
• Reusing and leveraging COTS, open source or custom-developed application components already present within the client organization when recommending future application solutions; or
• Developing visual models using Industry-dominant visual modeling tools;
• Utilizing IT security policies, standards, guidelines and procedures as input to technical architecture frameworks and strategies;
• Developing application software architectures including: Analyzing functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows;

Qualifications and Skills

• 10+ Years of Application Architecture experience
• Strong experience in a multi-cloud environment, including Azure and AWS
• Strong experience utilizing COGNOS and SAP
• Valid SECRET level Federal Government clearance
