Agilus is recruiting for a Cabinet Designer / Drafter in the Wood product manufacturing industry in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and creative Kitchen Cabinet Drafter to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of kitchen cabinetry design and drafting, using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create precise and accurate cabinet layouts and schematics. This position will collaborate closely with Product Development, production teams, and CSR’s to ensure that kitchen cabinet designs are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned with project specifications. A typical day: Create accurate and detailed kitchen cabinet designs and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar programs) Collaborate with CSR’s and Product Development to understand design specifications, dimensions, and preferences for custom kitchen cabinet projects Develop detailed measurements and 3D visualizations to communicate design concepts to the production and installation teams Modify and adjust cabinet designs as needed based on CSR feedback or structural requirements Ensure designs adhere to industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies Review architectural plans and specifications to integrate cabinet designs into overall kitchen layouts Communicate effectively with the production team to ensure seamless handoff of cabinet designs for fabrication Successful candidates will have: High school diploma and equivalent (Associate's degree or technical certification in CAD, interior design, or related field is preferred) Proven experience in kitchen cabinet design and drafting, with a strong portfolio showcasing CAD-generated kitchen cabinet layouts Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, or other similar programs) Strong understanding of woodworking, cabinet construction, and material selection Knowledge of kitchen cabinetry industry standards, regulations, and trends Familiarity with production processes for cabinetry fabrication Prior experience working with custom cabinetry or high-end kitchen designs What's in it for you: $52000.00 - $66000.00 annually Permanent role Full time in Office - Monday to Friday Extended health benefits ; Vision Care, Dental care Paid time off Employee Discount Program
