We are assisting our client in their search for a Senior Business Continuity Manager to lead and oversee enterprise-wide resilience programs, ensuring compliance with OSFI Guideline E-21 and safeguarding operational stability. This is a permanent position and is hybrid in Toronto.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Business Continuity & Resilience frameworks in line with OSFI E-21 and industry best practices.
  • Ensure resilience strategies are embedded into the organization’s broader risk management framework.
  • Lead business impact analysis (BIA) to identify critical functions and establish resilience requirements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain business continuity plans (BCPs) and disaster recovery plans (DRPs).
  • Oversee scenario testing, including severe but plausible disruption scenarios, to validate resilience strategies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure technology resilience, cyber risk management, and data recovery align with business needs.
  • Establish and oversee crisis management and incident response protocols to enable effective disruption response.
  • Provide governance, oversight, and challenge to first-line risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry trends to enhance resilience strategies.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on resilience capabilities, testing outcomes, and regulatory compliance.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or related field.
  • 5-10 years in business continuity, resilience, or risk management (financial services preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of OSFI E-21, Basel, FFIEC, NIST, and ISO 22301.
  • Proven leadership in resilience programs and governance.
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement.
  • Certifications such as CBCP, MBCI, or CRISC are an asset.
