Altis Recruitment is seeking a Project Manager for our client in the Healthcare sector, for a 12-month contract with possibility of extension. The Project Manager will play a key role in leading and executing projects focused on healthcare initiatives, particularly within child, youth, and emerging adult programs. This position will focus on driving a new model of care that emphasizes proactive, patient-centric approaches rather than traditional physician-led, treatment-based methods. The role requires strong change management, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills to support service delivery transformation. The Project Manager will work closely with clinical teams, IT teams, and other stakeholders to implement sustainable change.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Drive change management initiatives, helping teams navigate and sustain significant shifts in service delivery.
  • Work closely with the child, youth, and emerging adult program teams to develop and implement a new model of care.
  • Facilitate discussions with clinicians, physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other stakeholders to define priorities and shape service improvements.
  • Support and guide teams through difficult conversations, stakeholder resistance, and behavioral change efforts.
  • Collaborate with the IT and clinical applications teams to modify electronic medical records and implement predictive assessment tools.
  • Manage multiple stakeholder groups, including clinical teams, IT teams, professional practice groups, and legal/privacy teams.
  • Provide structure and organization to ensure front-end service delivery changes are effectively executed.
  • Identify best practices and support clinical teams in integrating new methodologies and processes.
  • Support system-level change efforts, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Mentor and guide a Senior Project Analyst reporting into the role.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experience with increasing complexity and scope.
  • Experience in healthcare or clinical project management is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the mental health and addictions sector is an asset.
  • Strong experience in change management and stakeholder engagement is required.
  • Experience facilitating discussions and managing conflicting perspectives within teams.
  • Experience with service delivery transformation and optimization is preferred.
  • Familiarity with IT systems related to healthcare, including EMRs, is an asset but not a core requirement.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to adapt and manage changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

  • University degree in a relevant field (e.g., project management, digital health, health administration, etc.) or equivalent work experience.

Nice-to-Haves

  • PMP certification is an asset.
