Agilus is recruiting for multiple Instrumentation Technicians in the Oil & Gas Industry in Burnaby, British Columbia. The Instrumentation Technician will provide operational support in a multi-skilled work environment focused on public safety, environmental stewardship, and pipeline integrity. This role requires the use of maintenance tracking software to document calibration and functionality testing on protective devices, custody transfer instrumentation, and pipeline equipment ensuring both personal and equipment safety. A typical day: Install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain process instrumentation, communication networks, and control equipment, including flow computers, tank gauging systems, custody transfer metering, and associated equipment. Interpret electrical/instrumentation drawings and schematics, and update as-built drawings as necessary. Support programming and troubleshooting of Local Operator Interfaces (LOIs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). Provide Instrumentation support and maintenance to ensure system reliability and integrity. Perform and document Instrumentation asset maintenance in accordance with maintenance tracking software. Analyze and utilize SCADA, HMI displays, and P&ID drawings to ensure the safe operation of facilities. Participate in Emergency Response initiatives and training. Provide operational support to ensure throughput and system reliability. Successful candidates will have: Journeyperson Instrumentation Red Seal certification required. Minimum of 6 years of experience in an industrial environment. Journeyperson Electrician Red Seal certification is an asset. Knowledge of Process Control and Hydro Test fundamentals is an asset. Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code requirements is an asset. Commissioning and Start-Up experience is an asset. Strong focus on personal safety, safety of company assets and employees, and public safety. Availability for on-call rotation and overtime as required.
