Position Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Clinical or Forensic Psychologists to provide expert psychological services in a challenging yet rewarding environment. This role involves working with diverse populations, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to individuals with complex mental health needs. The ideal candidate will bring clinical expertise, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to evidence-based practice.

This role is primarily virtual, with 80% of the work conducted remotely. However, if the right candidate is not located nearby and requires a fully virtual arrangement, our client has assured us that they may be able to approve 100% remote work if needed.

Responsabilities

To be considered for this position, the candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must hold a current license or be registered with the provincial licensing body for psychologists in the province where services are to be provided.
  • Must meet one of the following experience criteria within the past five (5) years:
  • At least two (2) years of experience in correctional or forensic psychology; OR
  • At least two (2) years of experience in clinical psychology and/or counseling psychology.
  • Risk Assessments: Must have completed a minimum of ten (10) psychological risk assessments within the last five (5) years.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience within the past five (5) years in assessing complex cases, including individuals with:
  • Dual diagnoses
  • Severe personality disorders with emotional dysregulation
  • Self-injury or self-harm history
  • Neurocognitive deficits or other chronic major mental illnesses
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience within the past five (5) years in providing differential diagnosis of complex cases and devising prioritized, multi-target treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.

  • Experience working within forensic or correctional environments is considered a strong asset.
  • The position may require occasional travel between locations or work within secure facilities. Remote work is available for the majority of the role, with a potential for 100% virtual work based on individual circumstances.
