Western Veterinary Specialist & Emergency Centre has opportunities for Veterinary Internship candidates to join our established network of highly skilled professionals.  You will have an opportunity to use your skills to the fullest potential!  Do you have a keen interest in pursuing one or more specialty services; ophthalmology, internal medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, oncology, neurology, dermatology and radiology. Our internship candidates are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our state of the art fully renovated 26,000 square foot hospital.  You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement to many specialty cases.

Internship Responsibilities and Learning Objectives:

• Internship candidates will be exposed to specialty service cases
• Internship candidates will get exposure to emergency, ICU and critical care cases
• Internship candidates will be connected to a group of Veterinary Professionals in; Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Radiology and more.
• Internship candidates can expect ongoing mentoring opportunities to further develop your skills and knowledge
• Internship candidates will further enhance their ability to problem solve in live day to day instances

Internship Qualifications:

• Completed degree from a recognized Veterinary Medical Degree Institute
• Willingness to learn and take direction in a busy emergency setting
