Agilus is recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Designer in the Fabrication Industry in Calgary, Alberta. Our fabrication client is seeking a junior designer to support the design and development of heat exchangers and other heat transfer products. A typical day: Work with the drafting team, project managers, project engineers, and production to develop drawings and provide technical support, during the fabrication process. Preparation and checking of layouts, arrangements and detailed fabrication drawings. Ensure project scope, specifications, drawing, and designs are in accordance with applicable contract specifications. Successful candidates will have: 2+ years of experience in Mechanical Design in fabrication environments. Preference for those who have exposure to process equipment design/heat exchanger design. Skilled in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and PDM. Knowledge of ASME codes is an asset. Dedicated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
