We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Enterprise Architect to play a critical leadership role in shaping and executing the future technology vision of a major organization in the public sector. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic initiatives, modernize IT systems, and ensure enterprise solutions are secure, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of enterprise-wide architecture strategies and roadmaps that support business and IT alignment.
  • Design and maintain reference architectures, principles, and technology standards for scalable and secure solutions.
  • Provide architectural guidance on modernization initiatives, including migration to hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior leadership, project teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all solutions align with enterprise objectives, regulatory requirements, and privacy/security frameworks.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies that align with long-term goals.
  • Collaborate across IT domains to ensure consistent and well-architected solutions are delivered.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in enterprise architecture or similar leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture methodologies (e.g., TOGAF) and strategic IT planning.
  • Proven experience designing cloud-based solutions in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Hands-on knowledge of applying the Well-Architected Framework (WAF) to real-world solutions.
  • Experience with compliance and security standard
  • Ability to synthesize complex technical information into actionable insights and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in architecture and documentation tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) is an asset.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Certification in TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or SAFe.
  • Experience in the public sector or highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with hybrid IT environments, including legacy modernization and integration strategies.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale data architecture and governance initiatives.
