Summary

The Bell Consumer team is seeking a Specialist, Subscriber Forecasting & Reporting.  Reporting to the Senior Manager, Subscriber Forecasting & Reporting, this role will focus on analyzing subscriber trends (including market size and market share), competitive benchmarking, developing forecasting models, and providing key insights to drive business decisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical thinker with a passion for data, forecasting, and market analysis.  The successful candidate is an energetic and enthusiastic team player with a demonstrated history of collaborating with numerous partners and cross-functional teams to achieve results. They have prior experience in the cable/telecom industry and well-developed forecasting, business intelligence and market analysis skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing market research and identifying & sizing market opportunities
  • Competitive analysis and industry benchmarking
  • Sourcing internal and external data & research to support planning needs
  • Maintain and refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and reflect evolving business strategies
  • Analyzing and forecasting impact from current and planned marketing activities
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Provide input to strategic planning, business planning and budgeting exercises
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Marketing and Finance

Critical Qualifications

  • University degree in business, finance, economics, marketing or a related area; MBA or professional designation (CA, CPA, CFA) preferred
  • 2+ years experience in financial analysis, market planning or forecasting roles
  • Demonstrated strength in market analysis, forecasting, and business analytics
  • Solid business analytics, financial acumen and problem-solving skills, combined with a strong ability to synthesize data to tell a story that enables informed decision making
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Curiosity, creativity and imagination in seeking answers to complex questions
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and proficiency in PowerPoint
