Are you interested in practicing public law on a collaborative team, while working on interesting advisory and litigation matters? Alberta Justice, Legal Services Division, has an opportunity for a lawyer to join the Environmental Law Team.
This is an opportunity to be part of a cohesive team that provides legal services to Alberta Environment and Protected Areas, Alberta Forestry and Parks and Water Infrastructure within Agriculture and Irrigation. The position includes both advisory and administrative tribunal work in the context of the regulation of the environment, public lands and forests in Alberta.

It is required to have a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
You must be an active member or must have immediate eligibility for full membership with the Law Society of Alberta.
The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of related advisory and/or litigation experience and demonstrated experience providing strategic legal advice.
For Law degrees obtained outside Canada, proof of accreditation from the National Committee on Accreditation (NCA) is required.

Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8:15 am - 4:30 pm (36.25 /week)

Location: This opportunity is located in 8th Floor, Oxbridge Place, 9820 - 106 Street, Edmonton, AB T5K 2J6.
