Job Title: Administrative Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time, Temporary (April 1st – June 30th, with possible extension based on performance)

Location: Onsite – Calgary, AB

Pay Rate: $27.00/hour (Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours/day)

 

Job Description

Our client is seeking an Administrative Specialist to join their office to support increased workload during the tax season. This role will involve working onsite five days per week and may require overtime as business needs dictate. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a high standard of professionalism. The acceleration centre services all Canadian time zones, meaning business hours may vary.

 

As an Administrative Specialist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

 

  • Initiate and create client records.
  • Assemble client-provided information.
  • Reach out to practice staff as required.
  • Send electronic copies of finalized tax returns to clients.
  • File Canadian and Corporate Tax returns.
  • Scan, mail, and courier documents to clients and tax authorities.

 

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Prior experience in office administration, data entry, and/or customer service is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to manage client expectations.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure without compromising work quality.

 

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must complete a background check (paid by the candidate).
  • Candidates must be available for virtual interviews between March 17th – 19th.
  • Selected candidates must be ready to start within one week of offer acceptance.
