Nova Scotia is rich in natural resources – including biodiversity, forests, provincial parks, and the land we manage. The Department of Natural Resources is responsible for the development, management, conservation and protection of forest, parks and wildlife resources and the administration of the province's Crown land. Together we are working with Nova Scotians to build a better future through sustainable natural resource management as we all benefit from the natural health and wealth of the province.
The Regional Services Branch delivers department programs and services through an extensive network of field offices. These programs and services include forest management programs, Crown lands surveys, regional geological services, public outreach and education, planning and implementing Integrated Resource Management (IRM), hunter safety, forest fire prevention, detection and suppression, monitoring of forest insects and diseases, operation and maintenance of Provincial Parks, and resource conservation.
Under the general direction of the Area Manager, the Clerk 4 provides a broad range of administrative, financial, organizational and clerical support duties to the Area Manager and other DNR staff within the Area.
Five years' related work experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience may be accepted.

This is a TERM employment opportunity with anticipated end date of February 26, 2027. The appointment status (‘term’, ‘temporary’ or ‘casual’) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
Pay Grade: CL 22
Salary Range: $1,934.21 - $2,139.34 Bi-Weekly
