The Department of Justice, Legal Services Division is the law firm for the Province of Nova Scotia. Justice lawyers have the opportunity to participate in a broad range of legal issues, providing legal services to the Crown and promoting the fair and lawful administration of public affairs in accordance with the law. The Legal Services Division consists of Solicitor Services, Litigation Services, Family Litigation Services, and the Registry of Regulations. We are currently recruiting for a lawyer for the Family Litigation team in Truro.

As a Lawyer on the Family Litigation team, the lawyer will be responsible for the effective and efficient representation of the Crown in the course of proceedings before trial and appeal courts.

This is a Permanent employment opportunity, located in Truro, NS.
This position is based in Truro, and requires travel within Nova Scotia, typically within 115 km of Truro. The successful candidate must have access to a vehicle.
Will be required to work overtime on occasion.
Pay Grade: LAW I - LAW III
Salary Range: $3,297.75 - $6,084.28 Bi-Weekly
