About Our Opportunity

 

We’re hiring a Project Coordinator who will assist in coordinating and administering programs and project processes.

 

You will be involved in promoting and interpreting programs, assessing and monitoring project progress, and providing essential information related to project management.

Primary Accountabilities

 

You will work closely with your colleagues to ensure and support the delivery of project outcomes. A few of your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Assisting in planning, research, resource scheduling, and project implementation.
  • Preparing and monitoring documentation, communications, and reports.
  • Ensuring project deliverables are completed and compliance with policies.
  • Tracking and reporting on project status to assist senior management in decision-making.
  • Coordinating logistics for meetings, training sessions, and travel arrangements, and leading workshops as necessary.

 

Qualifications and Experience

 

This may be the right opportunity for you if you have a bachelor’s degree in a business-related field and at least one (1) year of related experience with program coordination and administration.

 

You are decisive, demonstrate well-developed analytical/ problem-solving skills, are detail-oriented, and are a collaborative team player. Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and a knack for partnering and developing relationships are essential to your success. You must always maintain confidentiality and a strong focus on client service. You can work effectively under pressure, with competing priorities, in this fast-paced environment.

 

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.

Equivalency

 

We recognize equivalent combinations of training, education, and experience, providing opportunities for individuals with diverse backgrounds to contribute their skills and expertise. Equivalencies include:

  • Completion of a 2-year diploma and 3 years of related experience
  • Five (5) years related experience

Working Conditions

 

Your typical work week is 35 hours with 7-hour days.  You will work in a comfortable office environment. There is a regular need to balance multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and produce accurate results. You will have daily contact with the public, various Government Departments as well as other community partners.

 

Additional Information

 

This is a 6-month temporary opportunity from the start date of the successful candidate.  The appointment status (‘term’, ‘temporary’ or ‘casual’) is dependent on the start date of the successful candidate.
