Agilus is recruiting for a Chief Electrical Engineer in the engineering, procurement, and construction management industry in Edmonton, Alberta. The Chief Electrical Engineer is responsible for the functional leadership and management of the Electrical Engineering discipline including the hiring, training, and assigning of Electrical personnel to projects and proposals; salary reviews, training and career development; and the establishment and maintenance of technical standards and work processes for the Electrical discipline. Responsibilities: Set corporate strategic direction for the Electrical discipline. Assign discipline personnel to meet project requirements in consultation with the Project Engineering Manager and if required, the Project Manager. Review and approve all discipline related project specific Job Instructions and Job hour estimates. Provide overall technical direction for the Electrical engineering discipline. Represent the Corporation on Electrical engineering matters on an as required basis. Initiate requests for specialized engineering services, as required. Request or conduct project Technical Reviews as required. Create and / or amend discipline specific corporate Engineering Instructions and Design Guides. Requirements: A recognized degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university; and Fifteen plus (15+) years within the electrical discipline. Five plus (5+) years as a project discipline lead Electrical engineering experience in Power, Oil & Gas, Refinery, LNG, or Petrochemical projects in an EPC environment Construction, cross-discipline and/or project engineering experience are desirable An established and recognized Leader and Manager.
