Agilus is recruiting for a Accountant- Manufacturing in the automotive manufacturing sector in Markham, Ontario.
Accountabilities:
Prepare the weekly cash flow for Group Office ledgers and submit reports to Corporate Treasury
Perform monthly inter-company reconciliation and assist divisions in resolving discrepancies to ensure accurate intercompany balances.
Complete quarterly reporting package, including Other Assets, Fixed Asset Continuity reports, Judgmental Accrual Roll Forwards, and Lease Commitment schedules.
Prepare monthly journal entries for posting in the local ERP and Onestream systems, as needed.
Prepare audit support schedules and complete the Controller’s Audit file as required (annually).
Provide assistance with accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets as necessary.
Support the accounting team with tasks and the implementation of processes and procedures.
Assist with monthly closing activities, quarterly and business plan reporting schedules, consolidation in the corporate system, and review of departmental expense reports as needed.
The successful candidate brings:
The ideal candidate must possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly and effectively convey financial information to a variety of stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal directions
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance required. CPA Designation is a plus
Minimum of 4 years in an accounting or finance role in a similar industry
Experience in the automotive or general manufacturing industry is required.
Experience with SAP and Power BI is a valuable asset.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and an aptitude to quickly learn other software and applications; experience with Onestream a plus.

Annual salary ranges from $65,000 to $86,000 per year, based on experience
Bonus potential of up to 6%, contingent upon achieving production and manufacturing goals and targets.
