On behalf of our public sector client, we are looking for two Cloud Platform Analysts for a one-year contract, with possible extension for up to 24 months. This is a primarily remote position, with occasional onsite meetings in Edmonton, Alberta, as required.

Project Overview
Our client is modernizing its digital services to enhance efficiency and user experience. As part of this transformation, the Digital Design and Delivery Division (3D) is seeking Cloud Platform Analysts to support their OpenShift Cluster operations. These professionals will provide expertise and additional capacity to the operational team, ensuring the seamless management of cloud and on-premise OpenShift environments.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenShift clusters on-premise and in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, etc.).
  • Monitor and optimize cluster health, performance, and capacity.
  • Implement security best practices, including RBAC, encryption, and patching.
  • Automate cluster provisioning, scaling, and updates using Ansible, Helm, and Terraform.
  • Develop backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and ensure high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cluster and application issues.
  • Plan and execute cluster upgrades while maintaining security and stability.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support application deployment and troubleshooting.
  • Document and share best practices and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Manage and integrate hybrid OpenShift clusters across on-prem and cloud environments.

Must-Have Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience directly managing Kubernetes environments.
  • 3 years of experience managing a production service in an enterprise using cloud-based infrastructure and/or Infrastructure as Code.
  • 3 years of experience supporting Linux operating systems.
  • 3 years of experience with performance monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • 2 years of experience replicating environments (either manually or through Infrastructure as Code).
  • 2 years of experience working in or for the public sector.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • 1 year of experience as a DevOps Specialist supporting the continuous delivery of custom-built solutions.
  • 2 years of experience directly managing Red Hat OpenShift environments.
  • 1 year of experience in the company environment or an environment of equivalent size and complexity.
  • 2 years of experience with Disaster Recovery architectures, processes, and tests.
