Within Technology and Innovation, the One Government Experience (1GX) Centre of Excellence (CoE) branch provides transformational leadership to support and enable the shift to a One Government approach to corporate services across the Government of Alberta including Independent Legislative Offices (ILO) through managing the implementation and ongoing operations of the enterprise resource planning system, 1GX. The success of 1GX enables the delivery of corporate services in a way that is flexible, accessible, economical, scalable, integrated, and relevant to the needs of the Alberta Public Service.
Within the 1GX CoE branch, the Information and Business Excellence team has two key areas of responsibility. Business Excellence supports the user adoption of 1GX through change management, communications, and training. Information Excellence ensures that the master data within 1GX is accurate; ensuring end users are working with the correct information.

1GX is the way government provides internal operations across three major functional streams – finance, human capital management, and procurement – driving towards standard processes and procedures to ensure a common one government experience: “1GX”. This enables smooth transitions as employees move into and around the Government of Alberta organization.
We are seeking an experienced Lead, 1GX Digital Content & Platforms to lead digital content maintenance for operational communications, change management communications, and new project initiatives.
The team relies on this position to resolve issues utilizing both communications skillsets and technical knowledge and skills. You will work with various ministries and may work on more than one project team, requiring knowledge of several different technical and government processes.
You will make decisions that will affect the overall success of projects and be challenged with recommending user-facing and/or technical/administrative solutions as the singular systems analyst in the area. You must be able to understand user needs of varied audiences and stakeholder groups in order to conceptualize new and innovative approaches related to a variety of digital communication channels for 1GX team members and ministry partners. Your creativity will be crucial in identifying, recommending, and developing improvements across digital channels, as well as supporting new project initiatives.
