As a Business Analyst within the Technology & Operations Central Testing Utility (CTU), there is a Business Support & Enablement team which is responsible for overseeing, centrally coordinating, and establishing standard practices and processes for CTU’s test execution and quality review activities.

MAIN Responsibilities:
1) Data Management & Reporting:
- Manage data analytics and reporting functions to monitor and measure CTU’s operating environment such as KPIs, management metrics, etc.
- Maintain sound data validation practices used in analytics and reporting
- Identify opportunities in CTU reporting such as visualization and analytics to provide more valuable output and assist in management decision making
- Retain a centralized inventory of reports, dashboards and workflow automation
- Provide ongoing monitoring and oversight of automated processes used in reporting
2) Digital Management & Support:
- Provide technical support to ICE Champions, CTU TE teams to ensure continued operation of digital tools, templates and Integrated CTU Engine (ICE)
- System Administration & Support- Address CTU TE team defects, issues, incidents within a timely manner, manage flow of change requests from CTU TE teams and coordinate with PCSD team (e.g., bucket changes, prioritize, assess timing, etc.)
- Manage monitoring and enhancements of workflow automation to maintain infrastructure for technical support model
KEY Technical Skills:
- Experience with coding in Power BI . Specifically expertise in coding in M and DAX is essential
- Experience with Power Automate. Specifically experience with creating create workflows (“flows”) and experience with the following skills within Power Automate:
- Scripting Actions within Power Automate Desktop Flows. This includes experience with scripting in PowerShell and Python.
- Writing Expressions within Power Automate.
- Writing HTTP Requests within Power Automate
- Writing Azure Functions within Power Automate
- Expertise with coding in VBA (Visual Basic) is preferred
- Strong ability to create MS Excel macros
- Provide technical solutions to enhance operational processes.
- Maintain existing automation and work with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Communicate technical jargon to non-technical individuals in laymen’s terms
- Analyze large sets of data, validate data, identify/investigate anomalies and produce management reports with key messages.
- Bonus: experience within audit, risk, controls and/or compliance background (in third or second lines of defense)

Additional Details:
Provides oversight, governance and monitoring of operations to drive consistency and quality ensuring that internal control processes are adequate and functional. Develops and implements the integrated roadmap to guide the review, design, development, implementation, and ongoing operation of quality practices and management processes in alignment with established standards. Administers operations governance policies and maintains strategic alignment to ensure adherence and efficiency.
- Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
- Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives.
- Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business.
- Leads and oversees the identification, analysis and resolution of issues, recommending appropriate solutions.
- Leads working groups to identify opportunities and formulate recommendations for improving governance capabilities and processes, and work with applicable parties to plan, design and implement approved recommendations.
- Supports and governs the operations governance implementation road map including strategic priorities.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to identify business requirements and opportunities for improved operations management.
- Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Ensures alignment between stakeholders.
- Maintains standards and monitors compliance and effectiveness of operations processes.
- Implements, maintains and reviews processes to ensure quality and compliance with Bank and regulatory requirements.
- Supports the resolution of issues by coordinating stakeholders in the information chain.
- Supports change management of varying scope and type; tasks typically focused on execution and sustainment activities.
- Defines, implements, and documents quality measures and provides guidance on how policy requirements translate to business processes.
- Provides technical support and mentoring to team members in order to foster professional development.
- Supports the development and promotion of a business/group program.
- Identifies business needs, designs/develops tools and training programs; may include delivery of training to audiences.
- Coordinates budgets and reporting to track actual results vs budget.
- Employs systems (e.g. customized exception reports, tracking reports etc.) to manage information.
- Performs assessments and planning to verify that the business requirements are within standards.
- Identifies and implements the optimum means to collect, process, analyze and report on information to ensure ongoing accuracy, integrity and security.
- Participates in the resolution of operating/technical problems or manages escalation with other BMO technical support groups.
- Validates and tests changes to technology systems in support of operations governance.
- Focus is primarily on business/group within BMO; may have broader, enterprise-wide focus.
- Provides specialized consulting, analytical and technical support.
- Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations.
- Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
