We are seeking an Intermediate Technical Architect for a multi-year contract with a federal government client in Quebec City. This role runs from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2028, focusing on maintaining, configuring, and optimizing simulation systems and related technologies. The successful candidate will work closely with engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to enhance system performance, support integration efforts, and provide technical expertise in a dynamic environment.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • install, monitor, configure, and maintain OS, software applications, and simulation-related software.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain hardware/software, including video systems, VoIP, chat apps, storage, and military sensors.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements for simulation software, hardware, and lab infrastructure.
  • Develop integration solutions to connect operational and simulation systems for testing ISR and communication systems.
  • Create simulation scenarios for exercises, demonstrations, trials, and experimental events.
  • Plan and execute Tactical Data Link (TDL) simulation events per client requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and stakeholders to improve simulation software and hardware performance.
  • Support procurement, setup, maintenance, and training for simulation systems and technologies.
  • Provide expert advice and technical support for simulation systems, including training and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues using problem-solving skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • College degree in IT or 5+ years as an IT System Administrator in a 25+ employee organization.
  • 3+ years managing modeling & simulation systems, including OS installation and updates.
  • Must have CompTIA A+ certification.
  • 12+ months experience with VISTA, MACE, VBS Blue, or VR-Forces simulation software.
  • 24+ months experience with simulation systems in networked, classified, and unclassified environments.
  • 12+ months experience with tactical military sensors, data links, EO/IR, SAR, SATCOM, or cross-domain solutions.
  • Bonus points for 5+ years (last 10 years) or 10+ years (last 20 years) as an IT System Administrator.
