About This Role

What we are looking for:

We are seeking a financial analyst, with a specialty in costing and pricing defence contract, who is agile, dynamic with excellent analytic skills to join our International Price / Finance Team in support of the preparation of bids and proposals. This role would be to consolidate cost estimates from the various subject matter experts and for certain opportunities,  prepare financials according to customer and government requirements to ensure consistency and support the profitability for the Defence and Security Business Unit.

Responsibilities

  • Review Customer Requirements in collaboration with the capture team and internal functional groups and provide advice on efficient costing strategies.
  • Responsible for the collection, consolidation of cost estimates for services, engineering and manufacturing labor, materials, subcontracts and vendor data, parts & equipment for a wide range of proposals of varying complexity
  • Support Government and Internal cost compliance
  • Validate costed solution by performing detailed cost driver and cost comparable analysis.
  • Prepare and lead Cost Reviews to present the total costed solution to obtain approval from the various stake holders.
  • Prepare the prices for certain opportunities.
  • Support the development & evolution of new costing tools, approaches, methodologies, and processes
  • Support post contract award administration

Requirements:

  • Degree preferably in Business, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or any relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a high-tech industry.
  • Capability of obtaining a Canadian Security & Controlled Goods clearance (mandatory)
  • Ability to quickly learn, understand and breakdown complex, high-tech systems with multiple hardware and software components.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills mandatory.
  • Proficiency with Word and PowerPoint
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
  • Experience in bids and proposals and/or the Defence Industry an asset.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen.
  • Autonomous and pro-active and can function well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills project and task management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary and cross-functional in an international environment
