Our client in the trade association is hiring a Program Coordinator to joing their team on an 11 week contract with potential to extend. The Program Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the Ontario Mutual Assistance Group (OnMAG) and two Distribution Council Sub-Committees. The role is primarily focused on managing OnMAG operations (70%) and supporting Distribution Council Sub-Committees (30%). The position offers growth opportunities and may expand to include support for the CanMAG network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee mutual assistance programs, emergency response coordination, stakeholder engagement, and develop procedural guides and best practices.
  • Manage OnMAG hotline, lead practice drills, and monitor weather conditions to prepare for potential outages.
  • Maintain relationships with key stakeholders like OPP, MTO, Ministry of Energy, and IESO.
  • Organize committee meetings, take notes, track action items, and assist in event logistics for workshops and training events.
  • Assist with the development of work plans and government submissions for the Operating Technology & Telecommunications (OTTC) and Metering Technology & Policy Committees (MTPC).

Qualifications:

  • College Diploma and/or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in emergency response coordination or utility operations is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, virtual meeting platforms, and emergency notification systems.
  • Fluent in English; French is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Must be available for occasional travel within Ontario and work in the office at least two days a week.
