Agilus is recruiting for a Project E&I Plant Engineer in the Oil and Gas Sector in Calgary, Alberta.
Provide technical and engineering support to Terminal Operations for electrical and instrumentation equipment changes and upgrades. Provide technical guidance to plant engineers in the management and stewardship of controlled electrical and instrumentation (E&I) records. Provide discipline-based in support of large capital and major projects. Lead the front end development, and support the implementation, of small capital and expense projects.
A typical day:
? Working with operations and maintenance/reliability (M&R) to identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, and optimization of E&I assets.
? Developing E&I installation drawings, datasheets, and specifications in line with industry and enterprise standards.
? Collaboration with operations, vendors, SCM and enterprise technical to identify opportunities to standardize, align and minimize sparing of E&I equipment across the Distribution network.
? Following the contractor management standard, including development of a scope of work and EH&S requirements for contractors (engineering or execution) brought in to support project delivery.
? Functional support during major capital projects, including review of project documentation (DBM, FEED, CWP, IFR, IFC and PSSR).
? Stewardship of MOCs, technical incidents and project management (scope, cost, schedule) to the CFT and Distribution E&A leadership team
? Active participation in corporate technical excellence networks (STENs), to increase visibility of Distribution and build networks across the enterprise.
? Supporting the Maintenance & Reliability team in the development of asset criticalities, strategies, and preventative maintenance/troubleshooting guides for E&I assets
Successful candidates will have:
3-15 years of Oil & Gas or similar industries
P.Eng. / EIT (waiting for P.Eng.) in AB and able to register in other provinces as required
Provide technical information and support to maintain or improve terminal and regional CFT operational performance (e.g. technical specifications, operating guidelines, equipment specifications, safe operating limits, technical envelopes
Lead/ Support technical excellence in Distribution through requested participation in E&I STENs on behalf of the department.
Provide E&I discipline expertise in support of major projects executed across the Distribution network, as required.
