Our client, a large utility provider in Ontario, has an immediate requirement for a Project Manager to join their team on a contract basis in Mississauga, ON.

• Contract duration: until the end of 2025
• Hourly Pay: commensurate on experience
• Work type: Hybrid (2-days onsite)
• Location: Mississauga, ON (parking onsite)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of project management, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, control, and closure.
• Ensure projects meet scope, budget, and timelines while adhering to governance standards.
• Engage stakeholders (internal and external), manage resources, and ensure effective communication at all levels.
• Utilize project management best practices, track metrics, and ensure quality assurance.
• Apply change management and resolve conflicts to deliver project outcomes effectively.

Skills and Expertise Required:

• Experience leading a large stakeholder tabletop exercise required.
• Electricity/utilities industry experience highly desirable.
• PMP certification required.
• Experience working on a cybersecurity project or similar is considered an asset.  
• Financial and resource management experience, with proficiency in tools like MS Project, MS Teams, Excel, and Visio.
• Proven track record of delivering projects using Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid methodologies.

Other Considerations:

• 8 years of professional experience, with at least 4-8 years in project management.
• Ability to manage complex enterprise-wide projects, vendor relationships, and risk mitigation.
