Position Overview

Calian is currently hiring an Instructional Systems Designer to work a contract located at CFB Borden.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in specifying the required training and education outcomes in terms of essential on job performance
• Describing and / or selecting an instructional program IAW CFITES Vol 4 and 7 and Defence Learning Network (DLN) Development Guidelines;
• Product effective learning instructional materials IAW CFITES Vol 5 and DLN Courseware Development Guidelines;
• Evaluating material for possibility of conversion to eLearning in whole or in part IAW DLN Courseware Development Guidelines;
• Evaluating material;
• Provide training to the applicable instructing body;
• Work with content SMEs and references to produce Design guidance documents, storyboards and style guides that align with applicable course control documents;
• Create assessments that align with the instructional material;
• Develop exercises and scenarios in support of training

Mandatory Requirements:

• Must have an undergraduate university degree with a Major in one of the following: Education, Adult Learning, Distanc Learning, or eLearning
• Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in instructional design

OR

• Must have a college diploma (in any field)
• Must have a minimum of three years experience in instructional design
