Specific project areas of focus includes translating user requirements into technical specifications, writing code and managing the preparation of design specifications. Supports system design, provides advice on security requirements and debugs business systems and service applications. Applies deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures and programming languages to develop high quality technology applications and services - including tools, standards, and relevant software platforms based on business requirements.

Analyzes, develops, tests, and implements new software programs, and documentation of entire software development life cycle execution.
Performs preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and fault rectification of system and core software components.
Ensures that code/configurations adhere to the security, logging, error handling, and performance standards and non-functional requirements.
Evaluates new technologies for fit with the program/system/eco-system and the associated upstream and downstream impacts on process, data, and risk.
Follows release management processes and standards, and applies version controls.
Assists in interpreting and documentation of client requirements.

Experience with setting up, development and packaging of Spring Boot APIs in Java, dependency management using Maven or Gradle.

Ability to draw UMLs, SA Design Diagrams, ERDs and compile them into comprehensive design documents. Intermediate level of proficiency:

4+ years' experience with Java programming is required, along with ability to write Oracle SQL/PostgreSQL database queries.
Understanding of frontend development – HTML/CSS/JavaScript along with TypeScript for debugging/troubleshooting Angular UI components. Knowledge of React Components is a nice-to-have.
Knowledge of coding best practices and data structures/algorithms to optimize applications for performance.
Experience with OpenText Content Server is preferred. Knowledge of OScript language is a nice-to-have.
Applications Integration.
Experience working with Linux based systems and basic log monitoring/troubleshooting. Knowledge of connectivity testing and Swagger implementation for APIs. API testing using SoapUI, Insomnia or Postman.
Experience with working on Apache Tomcat for deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting APIs and webservices.
Test Driven Development.
Unit Testing with JUnit, load testing APIs with Apache JMeter.
System Development Lifecycle.
Understanding of modern CI/CD tools and methodologies using DevOps tools like Azure, Ansible, GitHub Actions.
Version Control and Git-based code management.
Ability to effectively communicate and interoperate with infrastructure, application and networking teams to ensure high availability and reliable application performance.
