Our client, a manufacturing company based in Burlington is seeking a Cost Analyst to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, review, analyze, reconcile, and present daily, weekly, and monthly production reports, including costing, inventory, yields, labor, and expense reports, in alignment with Plant Management, company policies, and GAAP standards.
  • Manage the new product setup process within ERP and other related systems, including reporting functions.
  • Assist and support plant management with various initiatives by conducting ongoing analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Aid plant management in analyzing variances between actual and standard costs, including discrepancies related to finished goods, products, and raw materials.
  • Complete production-related journal entries, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and conduct month-end analysis. Assist with product and raw material counts and audits.
  • Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), standard instructions, and product costings in the ERP system.
  • Provide backup support and relief for the finance team and handle other ad hoc projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or degree in accounting or finance, with current pursuit of a CPA designation.
  • Two years of experience in cost accounting and cost reconciliation within a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with financial and operational ERP systems, preferably AS400.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office and intermediate to expert-level knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and linkage.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
