Project Manager – SAP Modernization Project

Our public sector client is looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Project Manager – SAP Modernization Project (“PM”). The PM will be responsible for guiding the team through the SAP Modernization Project in partnership with the system integration partner.

The PM will report to the Deputy CFO and manage all aspects of the SAP Modernization Project.  The PM will work proactively with stakeholder groups across the organisation to obtain their buy-in and support, requiring collaboration and engagement with external stakeholders as well as internal stakeholder clinical, operational and administrative teams.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Overall responsibility for the successful completion of the SAP Modernization Project, including defining tasks, timelines and project deliverables in collaboration with the integration partner;
  • Confirm resources required for each stream of the project and ensure any backfills required are identified/hired;
  • Document and validate business process changes including impact to the team;
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders;
  • Develop hospital specific training and change management materials in collaboration with integration partner;
  • Ensure all training documentation is complete and available on hospital specific storage platform, execute training in collaboration with integration partner;
  • Ensure the organisation is prepared for cutover, manage the cut-over process and post go-live support;
  • Escalate any issues or risks throughout all phases, as necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Successful completion of a university degree or college Diploma in a related field (e.g. Commerce, Business Administration, Health Administration, etc.) from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current certification in Project Management (PMP designation preferred).
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible project management experience (hospital healthcare setting, preferred).
  • Experience in leading projects or teams, including demonstrated skills in using project management methodology, applying methods and standards, estimating, and tracking time and efforts, allocating and deploying resources.
  • Understanding of SAP (ECC, SRM, Ariba, S4/HANA) configuration, implementation, and support; and SAP integration with other systems and applications.
  • Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills; professional, diplomatic and confident with a proven ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to clearly define and articulate requirements, priorities, impacts, and solutions.
  • Flexible with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking and dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands and changing priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and customer service.
  • Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
