Altis Technology is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Storage Architect to support a large-scale data transformation project within a government environment. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cloud architecture, data pipeline development, and storage solutions. As a Storage Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions, enabling the organization to extract meaningful insights from vast amounts of data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Platform Development: Design and implement data platforms, provide expert advice on database tools and digital applications, and execute Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes.
• Data Pipeline Implementation: Develop and maintain data pipelines using AWS Glue, DataBricks, and other ETL tools; optimize and troubleshoot ETL processes.
• Database and Storage Solutions: Create scalable database and storage solutions, optimize data models, and ensure data backups, encryption, and compliance with security standards.
• Backend Development: Design and deploy backend systems for historical data storage, integrate them with existing systems, and ensure data integrity and governance.
• Data Governance and Compliance: Implement data governance frameworks, ensure compliance with data security standards, and conduct security audits.
• Technical Support: Provide ongoing technical support, including troubleshooting and optimizing deployed solutions, as well as mentoring junior team members.
• Project Reporting: Report regularly on project progress and ensure alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in database engineering, cloud-based data solutions, and ETL processes, with at least 2 years using AWS services such as S3, Glue, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong experience in designing and optimizing data storage solutions, developing data pipelines, and implementing data security measures (e.g., backups, encryption, access control).
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership, optimize data pipelines, and develop training materials.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark for data manipulation and transformation.
