Contract Senior BI Developer Needed!! Agilus is recruiting for a Senior BI Developer in the IT sector in a hybrid work environment in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We are seeking a skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to design, curate, and publish self-service datasets, models, and pipelines to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will analyze data to build insights and deliver results through BI products like reports and dashboards. This role involves identifying opportunities for improvement and automation in BI services, assessing complex BI use cases, and collaborating with teams to optimize performance and translate big data into meaningful reports and dashboards. A typical day: Design, curate, and publish self-service connected datasets, models, and pipelines within proper controls to meet business requirements Conduct data analysis and discovery to build insights and drive actionable results Deliver results in accessible BI products, including reports and dashboards Identify opportunities for improvement and automation in BI services and support offerings Assess complex BI use cases and develop solutions that optimize performance and translate big data into meaningful reports and dashboards Collaborate with the core data platform team, business units, and the Data Visualization Community of Practice to build reports and dashboards that meet business needs and align with best practices Successful candidates will have: 8+ years of experience in a related field Post-secondary education in Data & Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of applied business intelligence experience Expertise in report development, data warehousing, and data modeling concepts Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Report Builder, Power BI Data flows, and Power BI Services Familiarity with Azure cloud technologies (ADF, Databricks, Synapse, etc.) is a plus Experience with Agile Frameworks is advantageous Soft skills: Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, coupled with strong organizational skills A collaborative and team-oriented mindset Total rewards: Earn a competitive salary reflecting your skills and experience Full-time contract with a flexible hybrid schedule, including 3 days in the office Access professional development opportunities to advance your career
