Your Opportunity

As a Project Coordinator, you will report through a Project Manager on a project focused on renewable energy initiatives. This will allow growth potential as you will be exposed to clients, design and construction team members, program and project management processes, and strong project leaders. You will have the support and mentorship of our leadership and expert Programs and Project Management team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a key point of contact, liaising and coordinating with the project team, TTC staff and external stakeholders as required to collaborate and exchange information.

  • Collaborating with Engineering and Construction teams to monitor status and resolve misalignments or remove road blocks.

  • Developing and monitoring an integrated project schedule.

  • Identifying deviations from project management best practices.

  • Preparing and reviewing various project documents, such as project status reports, project plans, project management registers and logs and project gate deliverables.

  • Monitoring the fulfillment of Request for Information and change requests submitted by contractor and ensure responses are transmitted by target date.

  • Seeking decisions from Program Manager and executives and escalate issues and risks when needed.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Proficient using critical path method and earned value analysis.

  • Effective planning, organizing and forecasting.

  • Diligent at developing, reviewing, tracking and monitoring project deliverables and artifacts.

  • Effective at reporting writing and developing presentation.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

  • Proficiency in software applications relevant to the work and area of responsibility, including Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Project, Visio).

  • A proactive team-player, working quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints, and with minimal supervision.

  • High degree of attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Possess high interpersonal skills and able to work effectively in a team.

Education and Experience

  • Completion of a post-secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional), or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management), or CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) designation, or equivalent is an asset.

  • AACE professional level certification (CCP, CEP, EVP, PSP, PRMP) or equivalent is an asset.

  • 5 years of experience in coordinating large-scale projects and/or programs of significant complexity and value with high risk; specifically transformational projects / programs impacting multiple departments and external stakeholders

  • 5 years of experience using varying project management methodologies and planning approaches.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
