Your Opportunity

Our Building Specialty Services division has a staff complement of over 200 practitioners involved in various aspects related to building envelope and building science, energy and performance modeling including engineers, architects, EITs, and technologists, with a broad range of experience and capabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Assists in writing proposals and establishing financial budgets

  • Performs project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.)

  • Assists in the preparation of drawings, specifications and tender documents

  • Attends pre-construction meetings and document discussions

  • Reviews and reports on project mock-ups

  • Performs periodic site visits and utilize a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items

  • Performs field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.)

  • Assists in small project management and coordination

  • Assists in building condition assessments, rehab, concrete restoration, and building enclosure related projects

  • Participates in continuing education

  • Performs various office related tasks

Qualifications

  • Strong work ethic

  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Education and Experience

Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

Pursuing registration either as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is a plus

General knowledge of Building Science principles or Building Envelope components is a plus

Experience as a Building Envelope Consultant and/or Trade Expert is a plus

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
