Brilliant year long contract in either Edmonton or Calgary! Agilus is recruiting for a Distribution Design Engineer in the Oil&Gas Industry in Calgary, Alberta. Handling multiple projects at once you will be responsible for overseeing your own projects from inception to completion. Designing pipelines and getting product to residential, commercial or institutional ends. Client facing role. Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise for the effective operation and maintenance of natural gas distribution systems Design and manage projects related to the expansion and improvement of gas distribution networks Ensure safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to customers across Alberta Contribute to the maintenance and expansion of extensive network of distribution pipelines, which spans nearly 55,000 kilometers Participate in cross-functional teams and potentially work on projects across different business units Support the company's initiatives in clean fuel transition and grid modernization Working with external stakeholder on 3rd Party approvals (ie. Municipalities, etc.) Manage growth and improvement distribution engineering projects, including subdivision, feeders, rural/urban projects, etc. Requirements: Engineering degree, likely in mechanical, civil, or chemical engineering Strong project management and technical design skills Knowledge of natural gas distribution systems and related regulations Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate across different departments Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship P.Eng preferred, EIT also accepted What's in it for you: Minimum 12 month contract - possible extension can use an Incoporated company if you have one Resume strengthening placement at well recognized employer
