Agilus is recruiting for a Mechanical Assembler in the Manufacturing Industry in Ottawa, Ontario. Our client is an electro-mechanical manufacturing facility looking to add a Mechanical Assembler to one of their teams. This is a full-time contract position with a strong possibility of a permanent conversion. This is a Monday - Friday position from 8 AM - 4 PM. Training is 3 - 8 weeks and is paid. A typical day: Assemble components using hand and power tools Identify and report product defects Maintain accurate records and logs Handle ESD-sensitive materials and equipment Read and follow work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, and specifications Must have: 1-2 years of experience in mechanical assembly Strong mechanical aptitude Proficient with hand tools considered an asset (ratchets, wrenches, battery, and pneumatic tools) Attention to detail Strong communication, verbal and written in English Legally entitled to work in Canada Additional Consideration given to: Bilingualism is considered an asset but is not required What's in it for you: At least $18 per hour, more compensation is offered based on experience A long-term position with a reputable client and the opportunity for growth Weekly pay and 4% vacation premium
