Agilus is recruiting for a Data Analyst in the entertainment industry in a hybrid work environment in Burnaby, British Columbia.
This position will offer analytical expertise to both corporate and on-site marketing teams. The individual will gather data from external resources or internal systems, process and analyze the information to assist in the development and execution of company-wide and location-specific projects.
A typical day:
Collaborates with the corporate marketing team to create and implement direct marketing campaigns and extract data to meet the company’s goals related to revenue growth, profitability, market share, and customer expansion
Provides reporting and analytical support to business, corporate, and site leaders, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data to form a solid foundation for strategic decisions
Evaluates marketing campaigns and initiatives to pinpoint areas for improving return on investment, customer engagement, and retention
Analyzes customer behavior and suggests adjustments to marketing offers, promotions, and initiatives, working closely with the marketing team
Consistently synthesizes large datasets into actionable insights and presentations for senior management
Applies exploratory data analysis methods to uncover valuable patterns, trends, and relationships within complex datasets
Leads efforts to introduce innovative marketing analysis techniques and foster data-driven decision-making within the organization
Successful candidates will have:
Proficiency in R for statistical analysis, with experience in packages like tidyverse, dplyr, ggplot, and lubridate
Expertise in SQL programming and understanding of data warehousing principles
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup functions
Familiarity with project-based workflows in RStudio and modern collaboration tools like Git and GitHub
Strong analytical and programming abilities, encompassing data manipulation, statistical analysis, and marketing research
Soft skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
Eagerness to learn, with the capacity to quickly grasp new concepts and master new skills
