Brand new position open with public accounting firm in Ontario - Manager Professional Standards Agilus is recruiting for a Manager Professional Standards in the public accounting sector in Elore, Ontario. Join a brand-new role in an accounting firm that gives you the chance to lead, ensure compliance, and work closely with Partners and clients. Responsibilities: Leading the Head of Learning and Development team and help to grow/foster the team over the years Keeping on top of industry changes and standards changes and working closely with the Partners to ensure compliance and communicate changes Handling engagement quality reviews Creating new templates and procedures Assisting with the audits and creating action plans Implementing strategies on new audit and accounting standards Participating in external committees, events, and groups to gather new information and engage with the community Championing process improvement initiatives Requirements: 7 years of experience working as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant in public accounting Extensive experience working in audit with a robust understanding of accounting and audit standards CPA designation You love networking within the industry, taking part in training sessions, and staying up to date on compliance, policies, and industry changes What's in it for you: 97K - 115K annually Location: can work out of Guelph or Elora Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm, hybrid working model Benefits package, 3 weeks vacation, personal development, Fridays off in the summer Strong work/life balance and focus The opportunity to take on a brand-new role and build it around you
