Your Opportunity
As we approach 2025, Stantec's Energy and Heavy Industrial Process team in Atlantic Canada is pleased to announce that we are growing and accepting applications from engineering professionals and project managers across various disciplines, including structural, mechanical and electrical engineering.
Our team is experiencing significant growth, and we are looking to expand our capabilities to meet the increasing demands of our clients.
By joining our team, you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, from designing and optimizing industrial processes to ensuring the structural integrity of complex facilities. Your role will involve collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, utilizing cutting-edge technology, and contributing to the sustainable growth of our clients' operations.
Your Key Responsibilities
Support project team in development of design documentation, plans and reports for relevant project design elements.
Coordinate with other disciplines (architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) to ensure compatibility with the design intent.
Attend project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or clients.
Participate in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
Perform calculations using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
Perform on-site design services and field support.
Work as a contributing team member within a multi-discipline team.
Understand and work within the Client and Stantec's quality control guidelines.
Comply with the Client and Stantec's EH&S program, with a focus on safety in the field.
Perform other duties as assigned by the senior engineering staff.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Strong coordination, time management and verbal and written communication skills
Willing to work on multiple projects concurrently, sometimes reporting to different individuals
Participate in project team setting and engage in creative and critical thinking
Proactive, customer and quality focused attitude
Possession of a valid driver’s license is advantageous
Please note that this role may require occasional travel
Education and Experience
Minimum relevant bachelor’s degree or technical diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field
Minimum of 1 year’ work experience
