Job Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Business Data Analyst to join our team. The role involves understanding claims operations' current state, conducting data analysis, developing metrics, KPIs, and reports, and measuring and reporting benefits.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Responsibilities:
• Understand vision and strategy and conduct data analysis and modeling to identify, analyze, and scope potential ideas and opportunities (e.g., changes to future state to achieve desired outcomes) in collaboration with business operations.
• Prepare for and facilitate workshops to document current state processes and operating models, gather requirements, and design future state processes to ensure target outcomes are met.
• Collaborate with the technology team to translate business requirements into technology requirements and ensure the technology solution meets business needs.
• Partner with the transition team to develop change impact assessments, communications, learning materials, and other change tactics to support the implementation of future state business designs and operating models.
• Work with the benefits measurement and reporting team to create metrics, KPIs, and reports to monitor and measure benefits following the implementation of future state designs.
2. Sample Deliverables:
• Idea development, analysis, and scoping.
• Journey maps, requirements documentation, and current and future state process maps.
• Current and future state operating models.
• Level of effort estimates, plans, and progress updates.
• User stories, epics, input into metrics, KPIs, and report designs.
• Contributions to change impact assessments, communications, and training materials.

 

Qualifications:

1. Mandatory Skills and Experience:
• Self-starter with the ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and build effective relationships.
• Experience working in a public sector unionized environment.
• Experience contributing to business transformation programs or projects.
2. Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
• Knowledge of the claims process end-to-end.
