As a Security Guard in the Arts and Culture sector, you'll play a key role in safeguarding people in a dynamic environment. We’re looking for a Part-Time Security Guard to join our team with one of our major clients in Saskatoon.

What does a Security Guard in the Arts and Culture Sector do?

  • Deliver excellent customer service to museum patrons and art gallery visitors.
  • Maintain a visible presence to deter unauthorized or disruptive behaviors.
  • Conduct interior patrols to ensure the safety of exhibits, spaces, and compliance with museum policies.
  • Accurately complete daily activity logs and incident reports with attention to detail.
  • Manage crowds, ensuring a safe and orderly experience during exhibitions, events, or performances.
  • Respond efficiently to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, or security breaches.
  • Oversee entry and exit points, ensuring proper procedures are followed.
  • Work well with security-related technology and communication systems, including radios and surveillance tools

 

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in the Arts and Culture Sector:

  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent computer and technology skills
  • Proficient in report writing
  • Have a valid security guard license and successfully completed a Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety Approved Security Guard Training Course;
  • Have a current and valid Standard First Aid & CPR or First Aid Level 1 Training certificate;
  • Received a clear Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check;
  • Proficient in the use of a computer
  • Physically fit and able to meet the standard set out
