Role
Reporting to the Associate Deputy Minister, you will lead cross-jurisdictional collaboration, implement innovative procurement strategies for the health system and its agencies and delivery organizations such as Alberta Health Services (AHS), Recovery Alberta and Primary Care Alberta, etc. ensuring alignment with government accountabilities. You will provide strategic leadership and oversight of health procurement activities including procurement strategy, contract management and monitoring, vendor management, supply chain management and procurement dispute resolution. Your excellent communication skills will lend to strong networks and relationships with complex stakeholders and partners. You have experience leading strong teams, accountability for large financial budgets and you demonstrate an understanding of government and department priorities. 

 

 

Qualifications
This pivotal role demands a performance driven, influential leader with extensive related executive experience in challenging multi-stakeholder environments. Your career reflects extensive related executive leadership experience with proven strengths in procurement, supply chain, contract management and vendor management with a collaborative and integrated approach to achieving corporate goals. Your background includes a demonstrated understanding of government structure and decision-making, legislative frameworks, accountability processes and policy development mechanisms.   A practiced relationship builder, you excel at engaging stakeholders in shaping and implementing high impact initiatives. Your capacity to inspire and empower change in a large team will support you in delivering on key objectives. Understanding of health system priorities and issues within the political, economic and global environment is essential to your success.  A university degree is preferred.  

 

 

Salary
$6,216.88 to $8,158.94 bi-weekly.  ($162,260 - $212,948/ year)
