Agilus is recruiting for a Procurement manager in the manufacturing industry in Montreal, Quebec. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to join their team in Montreal. This is a player/coach position, meaning the ideal candidate will be capable of handling day-to-day procurement activities while also managing a small team. Experience with Dynamics 365 ERP is desired but not mandatory. A typical day: Oversee and manage the procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods and services. Manage and mentor a small team of procurement professionals. Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure alignment with organizational goals Maintain and update procurement records and documentation. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Successful candidates will have: Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or a related field. Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
