Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Portfolio Valuations, the Valuations Coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of various valuation tasks pertaining to quarterly internal and external valuation processes.  Amongst other tasks, the Valuations Coordinator will schedule meetings, review property information and appraisal reports, and support the Valuations team in preparing quarterly reports and portfolio summaries to be presented to senior management, as well as keeping track of all final signed documents required form time to time by external auditors.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of both the internal valuation and external appraisal processes, formatting and distribution of quarterly portfolio valuation summaries, individual property valuation summaries, various reports, and meeting minutes;
  • Liaise with accounting, asset management, investment, leasing and property management groups in data collection and report compilation for quarterly valuation updates;
  • Organize internal Argus Enterprise models and Argus database;
  • Prepare third party appraisal fee quote requests, draft engagement letters and property information packages for external appraisals;
  • Initiate preliminary review of third party appraisal reports to verify accuracy and conformity to the engagement letters, and provide documented feedback to external and in-house appraisers;
  • Attend staff meetings, prepare supporting documentation, takes notes/minutes as needed;
  • Provide clerical support and superior service to internal clients and staff;
  • Embrace and proactively support QuadReal’s culture of environmental responsibility and social responsibility;
  • Other duties as required.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in any applicable field: real estate, economics, or finance.
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably in commercial Real Estate;
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ability to learn new technologies quickly;
  • Superior oral and written communication and presentation skills;
  • Develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with all personalities;
  • Exercise strict confidentiality and a high degree of integrity.  Ability to manage sensitive information and situations with discretion and tact;
  • Allocate one's time effectively, work under pressure and manage tight deadlines;
  • Handle multiple demands and competing priorities, and adapt to new ideas and constant changes;
  • Use initiative and self-managing skills to work independently with minimal direction and respond effectively to issues that arise;
  • Highly organized, accurate and strong attention to details.
