Your Opportunity

As an Oracle Cloud Administrator on our Advanced Technology team, this position will have a primarily technical focus while also holding some management responsibilities. Under general direction of Advanced Technology Leadership, this role will plan and execute complex technical tasks and will provide technical leadership and guidance to team members.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide and influence architectural direction on OCI setup.

  • Provide support and implementation of Applications in OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.)

  • Problem management [i.e., problem identification, management, and resolution]

  • Designing and implementing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.

  • Delivering secure modular architecture.

  • Implementing conditional and advanced policies.

  • Design, implement, and operate Oracle Database Services in OCI.

  • Migrate workloads, Databases, and Data to OCI.

  • Implement and manage Virtual Cloud Networks.

  • Security understanding and implementing best security practices.

  • Supporting and enhancing Stantec's High Availability Architecture and disaster recovery operations.

  • Database Backup and Recovery.

  • Planning, Testing, and Performing software upgrades.

  • Assisting with database loads and data conversion activities.

  • Cloning and supporting different application environments.

  • Service requests resolution.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Experience working with Oracle and Oracle E-Business Suite application experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience working as in Database Administrator role support in a LINUX/UNIX environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years providing working in a cloud environment.

  • Experience and knowledge of Oracle/SQL

  • Server databases in other cloud environments especially Azure will be an asset.

  • Sound understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud architectures.

  • Understand security services and AuthN and AuthZ.

  • Experience with RHEL Linux is mandatory.

  • Experience in shell scripting in a UNIX or Linux environment.

  • Experience in Perl or Python programming will be considered an asset.

  • Experience in using Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c for managing environments will be considered an asset.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; this position requires a high degree of involvement leading meetings and regularly communicating to various stakeholders.

  • Please note that this position will require after-hours.

  • We are looking for team players that can work in a very dynamic and challenging environment.

  • Experience with Azure will be an asset.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience

  • Related degree. OCI certification will be an asset.

Salary Range(s):

  • Lower Mainland $88,300 / Other BC Areas $83,300 - Lower Mainland $128,000 / Other BC Areas $120,800 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)

The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.
